Our beloved Aretha "Aunt Retha" Herron-Jones, 86 of Lonoke passed away Wednesday November 26. She was born in
Carlisle, Arkansas to the late Herbert and Pinkie Herron. Aretha spent many years in Chicago
before returning to Arkansas 7 years ago. She was a member of the New Jerusalem Church of
God in Christ where she served on the Mothers Board. Aretha was preceded in death by her
parents, two brothers William and Howard Herron, two sisters Mamie Houston and Louise Cole.
Left to mourn her passing is one sister Juanita Holloway and a special son William Eric Jones,
along with a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral services will be Wednesday December 4 at 11:00am and interment at Lonoke
Cemetery.
