Barbara Jane Strickland, lived and loved throughout the southern states, passed away July 4, 2022. She was an eccentric soul with a passionate heart, who made an impact wherever she went. Barbara struck a flame within every person with which she spoke, and the light emitted will never be dimmed. She was a worrisome grandmother with a heart full of joy. She loved nothing more than being a mother and grandmother. Her children and grandchildren made hrer a proud woman, and her legacy lives on in such fashion.

Barbara Jean Strickland is proceeded in death by her father; Tim Sumner, her biological father; Terry Burns Sr., her brother; Terry Burns Jr., and her son; Hunter Wade Powell.

Barbara leaves to carry her legacy, her children; Branden Sullivan, Angel Sullivan, Brittany Reed, Destiny Powell, Alexis Montgomery, her mother Carolyn Sumner, sisters Laura and Jamie, and several grandchildren, nieces, nephews, aunts, and fr iends.
