Life's Journey

Carrie Bell Burnett was born August 11, 1928 in Carlisle AR. to Nathan & Mattie Jackson.

Carrie accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior at an early age and united with Revelation Church of God  in Christ for over 25 years before moving her membership to Richwood Church of God and Christ where  she served on the Mother Board, was a Sunday school teacher and loved helping out in church wherever  she was needed. She was a devoted member until her health began to fail.

Carrie was united in holy matrimony to Hosie Burnett Sr. in 1948.

Carrie worked for Zimmerman Nursing for many years and also for the Carlisle School district as a bus  driver for twelve years before retiring.

Carrie was a woman that knew God and put him first in everything that she did. She loved to get her  kids, grandkids, great-grandkids all in one room and share stories from the 'good old days' as she would  say and have the best conversations and laughs!

Carrie's earthly soul transitioned from this life on Sunday afternoon May 23, 2021, at home surrounded  by her family. Her parents, her husband, two sons Kenneth and Danny Burnett, daughter, Doris Burnett  and brothers; Lee Andrew, Thurmon, Othalee, Nathaniel and Herman Jackson, sisters; Myrtle Ann  Jamison, Dorothy Gray and Retha McGee all preceded her in death.

Carrie's most beautiful memories will forever be cherished by those that loved her most; her son, Hosie  (Doris) Burnett Jr. of Memphis, TN., six daughters; Mamie (Steve) Watkins of Little Rock, AR., Barbara  Hunter of Lonoke, AR., Vanessa ( John) Barber and Carolyn Williams both of Jacksonville, AR., Brenda  (Joe) Holloway of Des Arc, AR. and Lelia Gooden of Carlisle, AR., two sisters; Reola Jones of Carlisle, AR.  and Emma Jean Bell of Chicago, IL. along with her grandchildren, great-grandch ildren and a host of other  relatives and friends.
