Hannah M. Medlock was born  February 17, 1933, in Hazen, Ar. to Dave Hancock and Mollie Stewart-Hancock. She attended Hazen Public School. Hannah committed her life to Christ and was Baptised at an early age, at her home church Prairie Chapel Baptist Church in Hazen.

Hannah married the love of her life Rev. Joe Jerome Medlock, Jr. on December 25,1951 and to this union two sons were born; Randy and Ricky.

In January of 1983, Rev. Medlock was appointed to pastor Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Carlisle, and was Officially installed February 27,1983. This began Hannahs ministry as First Lady and Help Meet to the Shepherd of Mt. Zion Baptist Church. They served faithfully and wonderfully in this capacity for 23 years, until God called her love, Joe, from labor to reward.

She continued to serve Mt. Zion Baptist Church faithfully; singing in the choir, as M.C. for church programs, Pastor Appreciation committee or whatever she could find her hands to do in the work of the Lord. She was a passionate member until her health failed.

Hannah  was preceded in death by her husband Rev. Joe J. Medlock; her two loving sons Randy and Ricky Medlock ;brothers David and Harry Hancock; one sister Cloreene Perry; David Jr., Harry Hancock, Charles Hancock and Mattie Hancock.

Hannah was called to the presence of the Lord Friday,November 6, leaving precious memories  to cherish her Daughter-in-love Shelia Medlock; grandson Brandon Medlock; grand daughters Savannah Medlock and Victoria Offord; nieces Judy Perry, Ruth Perry, Carol Woods and Daine Jones; one nephew Henry Perry and a host of other relatives and friends.
