James Allen was born January 1,1951 to the late Elmo Allen and Essie May Hood-Allen, in Carlisle, Arkansas. He departed this earthly life on Tuesday, July 14, 2020. He attended and graduated Carlisle Public Schools.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers Elmer Allen, Clevon Allen (Deon), June Allen and Lawrence Allen; sisters Ethelene Burton, Hartina Harshaw, Carolyn Dennis and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.

James leaves to cherish his memory three brothers Blake Allen, Rev. Earnest Allen and J.W. Allen; three sisters Bobbie Smith, Leanna Taylor (Willie), Deloise Reddix and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
