Life Journey
Mae Delois Cooney entered eternal rest Thursday May 29, at Lonoke Health and Rehabilitation Center. Mae was born July 25, 1934 in Carlisle Arkansas to Ethel Hampton and Clem Allen. She married Claudie Cooney and to this union seven Children were born.
Mae was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She was lovingly called Nana by family and friends alike. She was a longtime member of Mount Zion MBC Carlisle, where she served as musician and led the choir for many years.
Mae loved crocheting and was known for making Afghans and other special gifts for family and friends, but most of all she loved spending time with family. She was a giving person that would share whatever she had.
Mae was preceded in death by parents Ethel Hampton and Clem Allen her Husband Claudie Cooney, Sons Claude Hampton and Bennie Ray Cooney and Daughters Lisa Dodson and Jacquelyn Williams, Grandson's Marcus Jeremy Cedric and Silas Cooney, Six Sisters Allene, Katie, Lois, Mable, Louise and Gladys, Two Brothers Samuel and Elijah.
Left to Cherish her memories are Sons Michael Cooney and Clem (Karen) Cooney both of Carlisle and Charles Cooney of Little Rock. As well as a host of Grandchildren, Great Grandchildren, Great-Great Grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
