Mae Willis
Terry-Scott
February 8, 1957 – December 21, 2023
Reflections of life
Mae Willis Terry was born February 8, 1957in Lonoke Arkansas to Albert and Willie Mae Terry. She departed this life on December 21, 2023. Mae was baptized in the Name Jesus at an early age under the leadership of Elder O. C. Washington. She later joined New Jerusalem COGIC under the leadership of Supt A.L. Terry. Mae lived her life as the perfect picture of love; there was no one she would not help, no one she could turn down that needed help. Even though weak, tired and weary Mae kept going, never complaining. Mae raised her grandchildren doing all she could to provide for them. She would take in people with no home and no place to go. Mae was so loved by many and always there to help anyone in need. Mae truly loved her family and would do anything she could for them. She had a smile that would light up any room she entered.
Mae Terry Scott was preceded in death by her son Deven Terry' her parents Albert Terry and Millie Mae Terry, Two sisters Marilyn Terry Smith and Shirley Terry and Grandfather Fred Hart.
She leaves to cherish her memory one daughter Makayla Scott, Three grandchildren Brayleigh, Moncler and Brayden. One brother, Ernest Terry (Betty) of Lonoke Eight sisters Alma Walker of North Little Rock, Carolyn Williams (Charles) of North Little Rock, Joyce Terry of Jacksonville, Delores Stirgus (Louis) of Jacksonville, Debora Carroll (Miles) of Lonoke, Barbara Andressen (Rodney) of Jacksonville, Linda Perry of Jacksonville, Erma Shephard (Joe) of Lonoke and a very large host of Nieces, Nephews and Cousins.
Eleven Roses in Mama's Garden by Delores Terry Stirgus
Another Rose has been picked from my mother's garden
Oh how she toiled to keep them safe
Through her love, faith and prayers, she watered them everyday
For these roses were so precious to her in every way
She knew they could never be replaced
For every one that was picked, a tear fell from her face
Three roses have been picked from the garden she loved so dear
The pain that we feel now they have not found a cure
Through love, faith and prayer God will make a way Thank you Lord for giving us over 66 years with our dear Mae
We will forever love you until our dying day.
