Michael Lewis Stepps, 69, was born March 11, 1957, to the proud parents of Mary Lee Stepps and Robert Stepps Sr. of Tucker, Arkansas. On April 24, 2026, our Heavenly father decided that Deacon Michael Stepps had finished his race, and it was time to start his Heavenly journey.
Deacon Stepps accepted Christ at an early age. He attended Shady Grove Missionary Baptist Church in Tucker, Arkansas and later became a member of Main Street Church of God in Christ in Pine Bluff under the leadership of Pastor Brandon Clay, and Deacon of Main Street-North Ministries in England, Arkansas. He remained a member of Main Street Church of God in Christ and Main Street- North Ministries until he was called to his heavenly home.
He received his early education at Plum Bayou -Tucker School District in Wright, Arkansas.
He joined the military (United States Army) in April 1975 and retired in 1978. Upon retiring from the military, he became a licensed Barber and hairstylist from the New Tyler Barber College and Academic World School of Cosmetology. His education as a Cosmology Instructor was achieved at the Velvet Technical School of Cosmetology in Little Rock, Arkansas. He was a past member of the Ebenezar Lodge #138 in Tucker, Arkansas.
He received his Associate of Arts in Business Administration at Shorter College in North Little Rock in 1986. He successfully directed and led key projects with the C.H.A.N.G.E. organization with his wife, which resulted in positive community and youth leadership activities.
He was proceeded in death by parents; Mary Lee Stepps, Robert Stepps Sr., and Robert Stepps Jr.
Those who shall forever cherish his memory; His loving and devoted wife of fifteen years, Dr. Robin Stepps; daughters, Louise J. Smith (Ivan), Lametria Stepps, Brittany Collins, and LaSadie Collins. Son; Donnell Collins Jr. (LaCoya) Siblings; Joyce Ann Frazier Turley, Cledester Dobson, Shirley Davis, and Annette Williams (Kelly); brother: Dr. Darrell Foster (Connie) 9 grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends who will miss him dearly.
