Obituary

I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith: Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day."

Mother Opal Dean Moore-Johnson was born to Alvester Moore Sr. and Lethel
Miner on September 6, 1957 in Louann, Arkansas.
Mother Opal Johnson's walk with Christ started at an early age. She grew up
serving the Lord in the Ebenezer Baptist Church and later Louann Church of God
In Christ. Spiritually guided by the Lord, she joined the New Commandment
Church of God In Christ under the spiritual Leadership of Elder Eddie L Miller in
2008.
She served faithfully in many capacities: a Sunday School Teacher, Hospitality
President, Pastor's Aide Member, Church Mother. In 2011 she was appointed as
"Head Church Mother" where she served faithfully until her transition.
Mother Opal Johnson was preceded in death by her parents, husband Glen S.
Johnson, daughter Deresela R. Nichols, brothers Charles E. Graham and Jerry
Moore Sr. and her Son-In-Law Tony D. Miller.
Her lasting and fond memories will be cherished by daughters: Riva Miller and
Glenette Johnson both of North Little Rock, AR. One sister Willie M. Davis of
Jacksonville AR. Two Brothers; Alvester Moore (Sharon) of Smackover, AR and
Herbert Graham of El Dorado, AR. Granddaughters: Erica A. Nichols of Little Rock,
AR, Ritny A. Miller of Sherwood, AR and Dorothea D. Spencer of North Little Rock,
AR. Grandsons: Colby C. Miller (Montisha) of Addison, TX; Eric A. Nichols of
Jonesboro AR; Tony D. Miller Jr. of Bossier City, LA and Tylen R. Miller of North
Little Rock, AR. Great Granddaughters: Journee Johnson-Miller of Little Rock, AR
and Ri'Zya Miller of Sherwood, AR. Great Grandsons D'Cameron Miller, D'Cory
Freeman, and Kash Spencer of North Little Rock, AR.
Mother Johnson also leaves behind "special son" Michael R. Richardson. Special
nephew, Brandon Moore and special niece Christina Walker. One uncle Robert
Miner Sr. Special Cousins: Earline Holmes and Mary L Frazier. Loving Friends:
Sandra A. Hicks, Bernadette Montgomery, Elder Joe Battle and Johnnie Whittie.
Three Sister-in-laws, Three Brother-in-laws, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins
and friends.
