Perry James Allen was born on January 16, 1948, in Biscoe, Arkansas, to John Allen and Charlie B. Pinkney-Allen. He was one of nine children born into this union.
During his early years, Perry attended church at St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church in Biscoe (Upper Hill Community). He received his education from the Biscoe Public Schools. After high school, he became a heavy equipment operator for McGeorge Construction Company for ten years.
After leaving the construction industry, he became a truck driver. he transitioned into truck driving. A profession he excelled in for over thirty years, serving with dedication and a strong work ethic across several trucking companies.
In his free time, Perry found joy in life's simple pleasures. He loved to drag race, ride his four-wheeler, and enjoyed going fishing. He loved to laugh and joke with people.
He was preceded in death by his parents (John Allen & Charlie B. Allen), three brothers (John D. Allen, Jimmy Allen, and Wallace Allen, one sister (Billie Jean Allen), & two nephews (Michael Allen and Rodney Allen).
Family members and spouses include:
Perry married Ople Lee Allen in 1971. They were married for fifty-three years.
One daughter: Denise (Rufus) Duff, of Little Rock, AR.
Two brothers: Charles Allen of Biscoe, AR, and Joffera Allen of Little Rock, AR; two sisters: Jackie (Raymond Sr.) Baltimore and Arlene (Roy) Roland, both of Little Rock, AR; one sister-in-law, Ola Mae Allen, of Little Rock, AR; and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends.
