Richard Lee Mays, son of Mr. & Mrs. Marvin and Inez Mays, He was born August 20, 1977. God call him home on December 16, 2022. Richard graduated from Lonoke High School in 1995. At an early age he professed his love for God by getting baptized in Jesus Name and was filled with the Holy Ghost according to Acts 2:38 in Lonoke, AR at First Deliverance Temple, where his Pastor was Suffragan Bishop E.L. Williams.
Richard married the love of his life, Mrs. Kerrell (Shay) Mays on May 10, 2021. To this union were born 2 beautiful young sons, two bonus sons and a bonus daughter.
Richard was preceded in death by his son Xavier Lee Mays and brother, Marvin Mays Jr.
Richard was a soft spoken, loving and caring person. He truly loved his family. He loved dancing, he loved gospel music. His favorite artists were Marvin Sapp and John P Kee. Most of all, he loved being a father.
Richard's life will be forever cherished through the lives of his family. Leaving to cherish his memories: his wife, Kerrell (Shay) Mays, 3 sons, Lexington Mays (Victoria), Jaydis Mays, TK Mays, 2 bonus sons, Perris Jones and 1 daughter Laquitha (Shay) Butler and 1 bonus daughter, Genesis Harris, His Parents, Marvin and Inez Mays, 6 sisters: Lisa Terry (Anthony) NLR, Roshelle Brown (Ricky) Jacksonville, Janet Sims (Ken), Teresa Mays, Mindy Mays and Cindy Mays Taylor (Keith) along with his grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and dear friends.
