Ruth Elizabeth Cavender was born May 24 ,1951 in Alligator , Mississippi to  Ellen Johnson and Marvin G. Canoy. She departed this earthly life February 15, 2021, in North Little Rock.

Ruth was a believer at heart, a faithful member of the Smyrna Full Gospel. She was a hard worker and loved her church. Ruth was loved by her family and friends. She passed from this life to wake in the arms of Jesus. She was greeted by her parents Marvin and Ellen, her four bothers and husband of fifty two years Larry Cavender.

She leaves to cherish her memory sons, Larry Joe(Joann) and Michael (Julie) Cavender; grandson Kyle: three grand daughters Alyssa, Brianna, and Erin; Three brothers and three sisters; a special niece Tammy; and a host of other relatives and friends
