Caylan Wanya Kilgore, age 30, went home to be with the Lord on April 5, 2026, in Hampton, Georgia.

Caylan was born on November 4, 1995, in Little Rock, Arkansas, to Syrita Aaron and Cornelius Kilgore. He was raised in Little Rock, where he developed the strength, character, and resilience that would define his life.

Caylan was a devoted husband and a loving father whose life was marked by honesty, perseverance, and an unwavering commitment to his family.

A graduate of eStem High School, Class of 2014, Caylan had a passion for learning and working with his hands. He loved cars and spent much of his time working on them, always eager to learn more and figure things out. He also enjoyed watching anime, which brought him relaxation and joy.

In 2015, Caylan joined the United States Air Force, where he was stationed at Whiteman Air Force Base in Missouri. His service reflected his discipline, strength, and willingness to step into responsibility at a young age.

Caylan met the love of his life, Joy Kilgore, in the 9th grade in Algebra class. What began as young love grew into a lifelong bond. They were united in marriage on December 1, 2021, and together built a life rooted in love, growth, and family.

He was a proud and loving father to his four children—Caysen, Jerzy, Janae, and Journee. Whether he was building forts, going hiking, playing Beyblades, or simply spending time with them, Caylan created moments filled with love, laughter, and connection. His children were his heart, and his love for them will live on forever.

In October 2023, stepping out on faith and driven by his desire to build a better life for his family, Caylan made the courageous decision to relocate to Georgia. That move reflected the kind of man he was—faithful, determined, and willing to do whatever it took to provide and grow.

In 2024, Caylan earned his CDL license and became a bus operator for MARTA Transit in Atlanta, Georgia. He took pride in his work and continued to push himself forward, always focused on providing for his family.

He was known for being straightforward, observant, and naturally funny. Caylan told the truth—even when it was hard to hear—but it always came from a place of love. He encouraged those around him to grow, to be better, and to never settle. If he loved you, he pushed you—not to break you, but to build you.

When asked how he was doing, Caylan would often say, “I’m alright.” That simple phrase reflected his strength. He was a man who endured, who persevered, and who knew how to survive. No matter what he faced, he made sure his family was taken care of.

He leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife, Joy Kilgore; his children, Caysen, Jerzy, Janae, and Journee; his parents, Syrita Aaron and Cornelius Kilgore (LaBommie); his siblings, Markiel Hubbard (Jalaya), Mervin Walker, Jessica Cephas (Godsister), Alex Kilgore (Domonique), Phillip Kilgore, Cornelius Kilgore Jr., Dameshia Kilgore, and Tyneshia Kilgore; his grandparents, Clyde Aaron (Deborah), Sharon Stewart, and Carolyn Kilgore; along with extended family and loved ones.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Charles Kilgore; his sister, Corneshia Kilgore; and his special grandmother, Josephine White.

Though his time here on earth was shorter than we ever imagined, the love he gave, the lessons he taught, and the strength he showed will live on for generations to come. He will be deeply missed, forever loved , and never forgotten
